Born in central California. Lives and works in Vienna, Austria.
Florian Raditsch studied at the Santa Fe University of Art and Design in Santa Fe (New Mexico) and the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, Austria, graduating in Fine Arts (class of Prof. Judith Eisler).
The works by Florian Raditsch reflect upon and depict various projections of identity and are mainly carried out in charcoal. The medium is crude and coarse and its application stands in contradiction to the fine technique in which it is implemented. This method involves a new and unconventional form of employment via the building of miniscule linear structures, and lies in opposition to the conventional usage of the medium.
